Moja

Moja is lovingly owned by Cherie and David.  He is a sweet and happy boy. He has such a fun and social personality and loves to play with every person and dog that crosses his path.

Moja has been doing tracking and is excelling in it. He is Level 5 with excellent and very good results along the way.

Moja has also been doing Lure Coursing

At the 2023 Australian National Ridgeback Show, Moja was the star. He thought he was on a tracking course and indicated every scent he came across in the ring. Not exactly what Cherie was hoping for. However, the International Judge said that he was too nice not to get a place and he won 4th in Class. Plus, he was short listed for Best Headed Dog. As breeders we were very proud of how well Cherie has done with him. He was looking stunning and had a breeder ask about potential to use him as a stud.

Moja - Show Results

Judge: Ms Nada Nikolic (Denmark) from the 13th National Rhodesian Ridgeback Championship Show - 4th Intermediate Dog in Show

20 months old, liver nose boy, good size and good body proportion, lovely head with round amber eyes, flat skull, good muzzle, neck a bit short, good foot, moderate angulation front and rear, good top line, good croup and tail setting, lovely ridge, nice coat and colour, lovely temperament. He does need some more ring practice. He's a very nice boy, so he just needs more time. He has good stride around the ring, and he moves parallel coming and going, nice presentation.

Critique from Judge: Mrs Sue Cameron-Codognotto (VIC) from the 2022 Rhodesian Ridgeback Championship Show - Class (Minor) in Show

First time for both the dog and the handler in the show ring and both should be commended on their performance. This 7-month brown nosed elegant male is of lovely breed type. He has good pigment and correct eye colour on a breed typical head that flows into a lovely neck. He is well balanced fore and after, with good balanced bone. Ideally, I would prefer to see a better return of upper arm on him, but he is well ribbed back, and has a good ridge. He has lovely well let down hocks which is rarely seen nowadays. On the move he was often pulling, however, at times did display a fluid gait but appeared a little cow hocked in the rear when moving away
